Today’s culture is beginning to glorify the use of these substances and suggest that that they may lead to the important answers in our lives. As individuals we must never forget that these substances may provide an experience that expands our perspective, but can never encompass or refine all of it. A fundamental step in becoming more true to oneself is striving to be more sober and familiarizing oneself to the reality that already is. This project is my glimpse into the fascination, addiction and drawbacks of the habitual psychedelic state. This project is also my attempt to contribute a different perspective on the pro-psychedelic narrative rising in today’s society.

Summary: The usage of psychedelic drugs to find answers to life’s existential problems may seem productive initially, but habitually abusing these substances leads to despair
